Either God doesn't want you to release this to the world or you're procrastinaing the inevitable.

Do you have a Microsoft brand sound card? From the experience of using four computers (none of which are mine) that have a Microsoft one, I learned that they often don't have the ability to record from the speakers. Luckily I have all Realtek or Creative SoundBlaster cards!
To find out go to the Control Panel: Start>(Settings>)Control Panel Then go to Device Manager. (You may want to press Classic View on the left if you don't have it set.) Scroll down to "Sound, video and game controllers" and click the + on the left. Locate your sound card. You should be able to tell what brand it is without double-clicking it.
A solution is to put a standard 1/8-inch audio cable in your "Line Out" or "Headphones" jack on your computer. Then put the other end in your "Line In" or "Microphone" jack. If you used the Line Out jack, do NOT put a pair of headphones (or anything else) in the Headphone jack! The Line Out jack gets muted if you do that!

I find the best strategy is to send the txt files to the magical recording pixies, via their email account: cat333okemon@aol.com. Try it out sometime.
