No I mean, Piano that does the bass to go along with the Piano that does the treble. It'll make Piano only songs a lot easier. I'm sure some people might agree.

I would like a slap bass. It would be nice to have a strong bass sound (as opposed to the soft fretless/picked bass sound of the heart).
Also, a square wave... or saw wave... whatever the other wave sound is in relation to the GB (for example, if the GB is saw, a square; if it's a square, a saw). I hope that makes sense.
And since we have the additional spaces...
How about a rock set?
-OD Guit -Distorsion Guit -Slap Bass -Power set Percussion -Maybe a vox sound?

So, I see slap bass, saw wave (GB is square), low piano, and saxophone. I already have both acoustic and distorted guitar, so I don't think I'll need another one. Or should I use a harpsichord or electric piano instead of the low piano? Hmm...I want variety in the instruments.

I'll just learn how to make my own soundfont and make a Keyboard set.

Well... dist is fine and well, but and Overdrive guitar will kick ass. Imagine Storm Eagle with an OD providing the melody and dist guit playing rhythm.
That would be epic.
I really need to learn how to make my own, too.

The program works. The songs all don't. What have I done wrong? I've still got all my songs in the Prefs folder but when I open the program all songs are gone. Only 'MySong' and 'lame' are still there. Who can help me? This took me a little bit of time to realize, too. Check in your prefs folder for the file that says "MarioPaintSongList". When I checked inside it, I found that it was replaced with the default for Mario Paint 2.0 - nothing but MySong and lame (which is as lame as its title). If this is your problem, let me know via Youtube. I discovered an easy way to solve it (that doesn't involve you spending 12 hours copying the names of your files back into the Song List file)

I just copied the whole prefs folder over. lame disappeared, but who cares?

Satoshi, you should use the four extra intruments to make(for Orchestra 1.0e Instrument Extension):
2-octave higher trumpet 2-octave higher heart Ride and Crash cymbals Whatever else strikes your fancy for this one
Gonna Fly Now needs the high heart and cymbals at least. And you could release it to the general public.
Cat, could you maybe do the same or something like it for Real? at least the 2-octave higher trumpet. HAG 1's trumpets are too high currently.

I agree that the Boo and the Coin sounds are a bit quiet, as are the Shyguys. If they could be louder, then it would make songs sound nicer. However, SatoshiLyish's soundfonts have kind of negated that. The arrange feature is doing pretty well, though sometimes the transitions can be a bit choppy.

On the other hand..I was working on a custom soundfont for Domino for his Castlevania song...it would most likely meet your needs for that song. rapidshare.com/files/147479770/Domino_Paint_Orchestra_v3.sf2.htmlI moved the orchestra hit swans to the coin and Boo since they have problems cutting off. (since its a short note it doesn't matter anyway) I also have higher octave hearts in this. only thing omitted is the distortion guitar.

MPC 2.0 works fine on my computer, which is Windows XP, so it's for both Windows and Mac.

Hi everyone, I just joined!
On the topic of instruments in cat333pokemon's soundfont, I think instead of a higher trumpet (like someone suggested) why not a lower trumpet? I'd rather have it in there so I could use low brass in my songs than trumpets to high it's just an annoying screech. Plus, it would give the soundfont more balance so we'd have more options for low parts besides the usual heart.

The dog is a low-octave trumpet in Satoshi's Orchestra soundset.
Also, welcome. Please introduce yourself in the... introductions board! (Imagine that)

I need the high heart and cymbals (and you can add multiple cymbals and a snare in one instrument if you wanted to)
