This is my first soundfont and I'd like you guys to give me some feedback on it to improve upon it.

All of the sounds were either recorded by myself, or generated from sticking random filetypes into audacity. All of them were heavily edited by myself as well.

Download
15/19 sounds implemented
File size: 2.93MB

Mario head:
Recording of me humming + a little vibrato and some echo
Mushroom:
A heavily edited generated twang (originally made to sound like a cannon being moved into place)
Yoshi:
A recording of some sort of "hachoot!" sound. Supposed to sound similar to a yoshi.
Star:
Ding! A very high sine wave with a diminuendo. A little plain.
Flower:
Generated from the data of Crystals.bmp, a background made for an RPG maker 2003 game. Sounds better in the lower registers. Might lower an octave.
Gameboy:
Square wave with a fade in and a fade out. Might consider making the fade in a little faster.
Dog:
Not implemented yet! Will most likely sound like a melodic woof noise.
Cat:
Not implemented yet! Not sure if it should sound more like a "meow" or a "nyaaaa". Also, unknown what sort of emotional tonality it should contain.
Pig:
*insert Pimp my Ride reference here* Generated from the data of Mario Paint Composer.exe, the program that this soundfont is being made for! Kind of sounds like an oink in the higher registers. Might raise an octave so that it doesn't take too long for the attack in the lower ones. Slightly melodic.
Swan:
Generated from the data of Cave.bmp, another background pic. Kinda sounds like some sort of "AEOOOOOOOMMMMmmm".
Babyface:
A recording of me sounding like a baby. ;) Sped up to closer resemble something baby-ish.
Plane:
Can't remember if it was made from sine wave or a sawtooth wave. Made to sound like some sort of guitar with some equalization and the wahwah tool set to not have the rest of the "wah", along with some envelope and echo work. A tad "plane".
Boat:
Recording of a cassette tape being tapped. Heavily edited. The bongo noise was gotten from the usage of the wahwah tool somehow with the same sample. Also has the "tenk" noise in the lower registers, borrowed from the mushroom. This instrument is in line for some serious revamping.
Car:
A recording of one of those annoying penny-whistles, edited to actually sound not-so-annoying. Surprisingly, during recording, I got a long enough section of no octave-jumps to be able to acquire a fairly long sample, great for long notes.
Heart:
Generated from the data of... something. Since I didn't name this after the file that I got the sample from, I can't say that I remember what I got it from. I called the file "buzzalarm" if that gives you enough of a picture of what it sounds like.
Piranha plant:
Generated from the data of Raiblu.bmp, the hypothetical evolution of the fake Pokemon "Pikablu". Sounds sort of like some kind of distorted guitar thing. Might need some re-tooling.
Coin:
Made from a sawtooth with some reverb and the wahwah tool until the waves looked more like sines. It actually sort of sounds like a piano!
Shy guy:
Not implemented yet! Will probably have something that sounds kind of like strings.
Boo:
Not implemented yet! Will probably have something that sounds kind of like a harp. Or something terrifying. Maybe both.

Please give feedback! I want this pack to be serviceable and useful to those who wish to use it. I'll likely post a demo video of it in action once I get all 19 instruments implemented.
Thank you for reading!

this is really weird
the panning's quite off, lots of things are panned way off to the left for some reason
while i like some of the weird sounds you've got here they don't go together that well and i can't see it being very useful in mpc
